Google says AI Overviews and AI Mode use the same search fundamentals as ordinary Google Search. There is no additional AI-specific file or schema requirement [1].

## Check whether Google can index the page

Use Search Console's URL Inspection for the page you want people to find. Per Google's guide, a supporting page must be indexed and eligible to appear with a snippet [1]. Review crawling restrictions, hosting restrictions and any `noindex` instruction before changing the content.

## Put the answer in visible text

Google recommends making important content available as text and linking to it from other pages. Give the reader a direct answer, then the evidence they need to assess it. Structured data must agree with the visible page [1].

## Check the ordinary search report

Google includes traffic from these AI features in Search Console's Web performance report. Use that report alongside the actions readers take on your site [1].

Meeting the requirements does not guarantee crawling, indexing or inclusion. Fix an observed indexing or content problem before paying for an AI-search addition whose effect you cannot measure [1].
